Rosette® Brings Multilingual “Big Text” Capabilities to Social Media Analysis
Cambridge, MA – February 25, 2014 – Basis Technology, the leader in multilingual search and text analytics, today announced the integration of the Rosette® linguistics platform with the Historise Social Media Monitoring System, to enable culturally-sensitive monitoring of social media.
Rosette from Basis Technology provides the most advanced linguistic analysis commercially available. Rosette delivers faster and more accurate search results whether searching within a language or across multiple languages. It integrates seamlessly with all major open source search engines—including Lucene, Elasticsearch, Solr, and Sphinx—along with a wide range of enterprise applications.
The Historise Social Media Monitoring System (part of the Historise Reputation Management System) raises the monitoring of social media channels to a new level by providing the most complete picture of brand, person, and company mentions in social media with subsequent in-depth analysis of the data in real time. Elasticsearch and Apache Nutch are used in tandem to collect and search blog posts, wikis, news stories, social networks, shared photos/videos, forums, and message boards.
Using Rosette to enrich social media content in its native language, Historise is better able to recognize the mention of a brand or person across many languages.
“We have developed the Historise Social Media Monitoring System for companies to better understand how consumers relate to their product and gain insight into how to improve the quality of their goods or services,” said Dmitry Baykov, CEO Historise Ltd. “Basis Technology and its proven Rosette platform enable us to provide customers with the most comprehensive analysis of the opinions and mentions of a product, person or company on the Internet across many languages.”
“The opportunity to analyze unstructured multilingual ‘Big Text’ to gain meaningful intelligence is greater than ever before,” said Carl Hoffman, CEO of Basis Technology. “Rosette’s natural language processing capabilities will enable Historise to provide its customers with the best information-retrieval and analysis experience across many languages.”
