Almost all Apache projects start as ‘podlings’ in the Apache Incubator. If you have some code, or even an idea, you might be considering the possibility of bringing it to the Incubator. This talk will introduce you to the Incubator, and to the larger context of the Apache Software Foundation. We will walk through the steps to getting a project into the Incubator, what life is like inside the Incubator, and how podlings exit the Incubator. After listening to this talk, you should have a good overview of the process, and where to go and whom to ask for details or to start.
