Elastic{on} 17, launching three Rosette plugins for Elasticsearch!
With a focus on customers, Rosette and Elasticsearch broaden use case coverage
As avid Elasticsearch users and contributors, we were thrilled by the energy at this year’s Elastic{ON}. 2016 was a big year for Rosette and Elasticsearch. We launched a public API and Elastic released Elasticsearch 5.0, advances that enable new and improved solutions for our customers.
Rosette is well known for improving search relevancy and adding multilingual support to Elasticsearch (and Solr). However, we also use Rosette with Elasticsearch to build Identity Resolution and Document Enhancement solutions.
At this year’s Elastic{on} we decided to amp up our Elasticsearch offering with three simple plugins that install with just one-line of code. Each plugin solves a different use case inspired by our customers: Multilingual Search Enhancement, Identity Resolution, and Document Enrichment.
Multilingual Search Enhancement
Leverage your text and globalize your analysis
Multilingual search is a chronically challenging problem for international businesses, and we’ve heard numerous stories from businesses about the pains they’ve taken to address it. Some struggle with trying to maintain multiple plugins, others with customizing open source solutions or bootstrapping homemade ones. Still others are frustrated with instability and uneven language coverage. Our Multilingual Search Enhancement plugin is made for companies whose international search application or platform is central to their competitiveness. We provide state-of-the-art text analytics in 55 languages, an all-in-one plugin for improved search right out of the box.
Document Enrichment
Transform your unstructured data into novel insight
Last year, we launched Rosette API, bringing all of our text analytics offerings to an easy-to-use cloud interface. Since launch, we have had several customers ask: How I can plug Rosette API into Elasticsearch? The Document Enrichment plugin is our answer, featuring entity extraction, categorization, sentiment analysis, and more.
Whereas three years ago we had to educate potential customers on the purpose and benefit of entity extraction, today’s Elasticsearch user is sophisticated and keen on implementing entity analytics. The addition of categorization and sentiment analysis expands the capabilities in our new Document Enrichment plugin. This plugin enable you to go beyond keywords and get the information you need by refining search results by language, entities, sentiment, category, and even the English translation of multilingual names.
Identity Resolution
Robust indexing and querying for names, addresses, and more
Our Identity Resolution plugin is specifically designed for companies who need to quickly and accurately process and fuzzy match list of names and other information, like contacts in a CRM, patient records or call center customer profiles. While we’ve always found a demand for this technology among government agencies, our conversations at Elastic{on} confirmed that a wide range of organizations need effective fuzzy name matching solutions across many types of name variations and in different languages. These businesses include banks, insurance agencies, healthcare providers, and commercial service vendors.
Together, we hope this suite of Elasticsearch offerings will meet the needs of vastly diverse customers and use cases, enabling them to add the analytics they need to their solutions without changing their core structure.
