From Elastic{ON} 17, with love

After an awesome three days packed with conversations and presentations, Elastic{ON} is over for another year. The doors to Pier 48 are closed and the beautiful view of the bay is once again hidden underneath the well-known San Francisco fog.

For our team, this was the biggest Elastic{ON} yet: featuring the launch of three simple new plugins to Elasticsearch that install with just one-line of code, each targeted towards a unique use case directly tailored to our customers’ needs: Multilingual Search Enhancement, Identity Resolution, and Document Enrichment.

Conference highlights: three days to discover and learn
It’s clear 2016 was a busy year for the Elastic team, with product improvements and new features like a synonym aggregator, a keyword normalizer, and a brand new cross-cluster search model for Elasticsearch, the launch of an API version of Graph, and an interface-lift for Kibana. We were especially interested to learn about the Elastic Stack’s new machine learning model, taking analytics a step further towards human-like intelligence.
Another conference highlight was the terrific day-two party at the California Academy of Sciences, with an impressive 2200 person headcount!
It was great to see so many familiar faces at the conferences. We joined up with our gold partner Search Technologies to raffle off a quadcopter drone and a Bose bluetooth speaker. In the quieter moments on the conference floor, we appreciated the opportunity to meet with other partners in attendance and show off our new demo of the newly repackaged plugins.
