Ask the Rosette Name Indexer about a name and it’ll go find all the other names that match it in your database, whether it’s spelled “Bourkiba,” “Borgeba,” “Burghiba” — or even in its native script as بورقيبة.
For banking, identity management, intelligence and other fields, the Rosette Name Indexer (RNI) increases the coverage and accuracy of searching for foreign names against a watch list or correlating names across databases.

How RNI works (see right): RNI is a database with indexes that point to matching names in your database, leaving your data pristine and untouched. When asked, “Is there a name in the database that matches “Bourkiba”? RNI gives you back “Borgeba,” “Burghiba” or بورقيبة.
- Efficiently increases name search coverage and accuracy
- Returns results ranked by relevancy with a match score.
- Returns partial matches where data is incomplete.
- Finds names of people, places, and organizations.
- Searches for names across Middle Eastern and Far East languages in their native scripts and Romanized forms
Technology. The efficient name matching technology in RNI handles spelling variations and errors, non-standard Romanization and the cultural vagaries of how names are written in each language.
Linguistic Smarts. RNI understands the structures of names in each language, so instead of generating countless variations to look up, it does an intelligent comparison of names based on linguistic, orthographic, and phonological algorithms.
